DIY fruit and veg

Local Playford Alive residents, David, Narelle and their children enjoy gardening and eating their DIY fruit and veg all year round.

Here, you can see David showing Variette Niyongere the fruits of the garden at Peachey Place Living Skills Centre, which recently moved to 20 Heytesbury Road, Davoren Park.

Peachey Place is teaching others grow their own gardens through the Magic Harvest program with the help of David and Narelle.

“We get a buzz helping anyone grow their own chemical-free food rather than buying less fresh produce from the shop,” David says.

“Our four kids know everything about the food growing process, and love seeing plants grow from a seed into food that they can pick.”

Encourage your family to get into the garden and eat healthy food too, while having some fun.

Peachey Place Living Skills Centre runs ongoing information sessions about the Magic Harvest program. To register, contact them on 7070 6711 or davorenpark@lccare.org.au.
